Content Grab Bag 4/29/17

Hey all, it’s the end of the month so I figure it’s about time I do another grab bag.

Stories From Roblox: The Account Compromise

Episode 6 of Stories From Roblox focuses on events that unfolded in April 2016. My account was hacked during this period.

Stories From Roblox: Epilogue

Wrapping up the miniseries is this video, where I talk about the influence it had on my channel and drop some info on the John Doe rumors that Episode 1 was made in response to.

It’s all YouTube stuff for the grab bag this time. I will be finishing up the Stories From Roblox miniseries in the near future, so only expect a few more episodes out of the pipeline. I may decide to continually add more in the future as more stories happen.

Stories From Roblox: Robloxian Scavenger Hunts

Also known by the title “Roblox: History Making Puzzle Games.” The audio quality on this one was bad–I’ll be sure to not record with my phone again.

In this video, I delve into the puzzle games I developed between 2009 and 2011.

Vlogging the Trip to PAX East 2017!

For the longest time, I’d share unedited vlog content on my secondary channel because I never thought it was entertaining enough to put on my primary channel, BADGRAPHIX.

This compilation turned out well enough where I thought it was worth posting, so here ya go.

Stories From Roblox: My Start

This episode ended up turning into a video on more than just my origins, so I gave it the YouTube title “Roblox: 10 Year Personal Retrospective.”

Hey everybody, I think I’ll be using this “grab bag” format going forward to compile my releases together. Here’s what’s come out since the last blog post.

Stories From Roblox: The RHQ Forums

One of the most popular Roblox fan sites back in the day was Clockwork’s Roblox HQ. In the second installment of my “Stories From Roblox” miniseries, I recount its forum community and its eventual demise.

Stories From Roblox: The Greatest Foe

Learn about the old way enemies used to work for groups on Roblox in the third installment of the Stories From series, “The Greatest Foe Has Declared You An Enemy.”

Project Creatures Gameplay Footage

During the Project Creatures Blind Test, one piece of feedback I received was regarding the game’s camera. The user in question was hoping for something more 3D, akin to Paper Mario. In respond, I halted normal development to experiment with the game’s perspective. Here’s some footage I took while doing that. These are unlisted videos, some some of the footage is reused in Stories From Roblox 3.

Clothing Releases

Nothing new this time, but to commemorate Stories From Roblox 3 I have put The Greatest Foe T-Shirt back on sale! Like most of my clothing items, it is priced at 8 ROBUX.

The First Post on the Blog: Content Grab Bag

Hi everyone, welcome to the first post on the BADGRAPHIX Creations Blog! I’ve been wanting to establish a universal hub for all my work and this is the first step in doing that.

To kick things off, I’ll be going over the things I’ve released in the last few days. My creative output has been rich in this period so there’s a grab bag of stuff to go over.

Project Creatures Blind Test

First we’ve got the big release: a sneak peek at Project Creatures, the game I’ve been working on for the last year. This is a working title and the content is too. I’ve got a little bit of everything working so I wanted to throw it into the wild and see how people responded. Leave your feedback on the group wall after playing around in there and tell me what you thought–this is the stage where I make changes based on user feedback so I don’t throw out something completely unapproachable when it’s finished.

In Project Creatures, character movement is performed through a custom-scripted grid-based system. By no coincidence, this is the exact same system used in the early Pokemon games, so I released this.

Explore 1998’s Kanto in Full Color!

Many years ago, I brought the region of Red and Blue’s Kanto into full color using the palette of the GBA remakes, FireRed and LeafGreen. I also filled out the missing gaps, and today, I bring it into Roblox for you to explore around in. Not sure if I’ll go anywhere with this project, but I thought it’d be cool for people to explore the region without any boundaries. Haven’t you ever wanted to know what was in the grass east of Route 1?

Stories From Roblox: The Friend Request Exploit

A common question I get on Roblox is why the user John Doe is following me. With user ID number 2, John Doe is essentially the oldest unused account on the website. I set out to answer the question in this video.

“Stories From Roblox” is a series I’d like to continue. They’re easy to produce, and it’s exciting to tell experiences from the game I’ve had knocking around in my head for years.

Clothing Releases

To cap things off, check out these clothing releases. A new update is coming out that will remove the ability to make your limbs different colors. In response, I’ve released outfits that simulate this classic style so new players will still be able to do it.
